पश्चिमा समाजमा वैवाहिक जीवनलाई सम्बन्धविच्छेदमा रूपान्तरण गर्नु फेसनजस्तै भइसकेको छ । पश्चिमेलीहरूको विवाह र सम्बन्धविच्छेद नाटकीय रूपमा नै हुने गर्छ । हलिउडकी प्रसिद्ध अभिनेत्री जुलिया र्रबर्ट्सले विवाह गर्नेबित्तिकै भनेकी थिइन्- ँगहिरो मायामा डुबेपछि शारीरिक रूपमा टाढा हुनुको कुनै अर्थ छैन ।’ उनका पति गायक लायल लोभेटले पनि भनेका थिए- ँजुलियालाई केटाकेटी मन पर्छ, हामी चाँडै नै यसका बारेमा पनि सोच्नेछौं ।’ तर विवाहको २१ महिनामै उनीहरूको सम्बन्धविच्छेद भएको खबर आयो ।
